CCC + TCC + Emptech are now Experian Employer Services. Learn More

Wyoming’s Governor Mark Gordon issued Emergency Order (EO) 2021-08 on October 15th, 2021. EO 2021-08 has been passed and rescinds EO 2020-12, which Experian reported at the end of 2020. Both EO’s are intended to provide Employers Relief from exorbitant Unemployment Costs associated with COVID-19.

How does this affect employers?

There are not many essential differences between these EOs, but the differences we’ve seen are that EO 2021-08 ensures that employers will not see a significant UI tax rate increase due to the system-wide surge in unemployment claims that occurred from the COVID-19 pandemic. EO 2021-08 also provides credits to employers who experienced increased unemployment taxes already paid in 2021.
