Recently, I had the extreme privilege to travel abroad and represent CCC while onboarding a new and very large client. I was beyond excited to have this chance of a lifetime. I felt honored to be chosen to travel across the world and experience India! Being a creature of habit, I, of course, experienced a bit of nerves. Thinking about the long flights, the time away from my family, the time difference, and all of the unknowns of the trip had me slightly nervous.

The moment we landed in India, my nerves eased. By far, the best thing about India is the people. They were so kind, and we were all so very eager to learn about their culture.

Our first destination was Bangalore, and since we spent the majority of our time there, we had an assigned driver, Dhananjay. Heather, Dane, and I absolutely loved him; he was so kind and knowledgeable. Dhananjay was eager to answer the many questions we had for him concerning the area. We learned about the 33 million Gods of Hinduism while taking us to see all the sights that Bangalore had to offer.

My favorite place we visited was the Shivoham Shiva Temple; it is one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve ever seen. It was a stunning sight to walk through what resembled a small cave only to come out the other side and see a beautiful 65 foot Shiva statue. It is no wonder this site receives an estimated half a million visitors each year; I could have stayed all day just admiring the beauty.

Heather, Dane, and I received blessings from the Sri Big Bull Temple.

We made a gallant effort to take in as much of India as we possibly could during our time. We experienced many new foods, one of which was an Indian Lobster, hands down one of the spiciest foods I’ve ever had. We enjoyed some local beer, native to the area, my favorite being the “Kingfisher.” I’m truly missing it now that I’m home. We tried many of the local fruits from the street vendors, most of which we have never seen in the States. A sight that never seemed to get old was seeing cows randomly crossing busy intersections. Bangalore was a great part of the trip and very good to us!

After a week in Bangalore, we were off to spend a day in Hyderabad. My nerves returned slightly upon seeing the propeller plane that would take us to our destination, but after the wheels touched down in Hyderabad, I realized I had nothing to worry about. It was actually a smoother flight than the larger aircraft I’m accustomed to traveling in. Hyderabad was absolutely beautiful, and my only regret is we didn’t have a longer stay to take in the sights and culture in the area.

The trip was such an amazing experience from beginning to end. The food, the sights, the new experiences, but above all, it was the people. Our new clients’ team that we worked with both in Bangalore and Hyderabad were some of the most gracious and entertaining people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. We definitely feel we have made life-long friends. The workdays were long, and there were many hurdles ahead of us, but the payoff was worth the effort.
I cannot say enough about how well the CCC team pulled together and went above and beyond to show our client we are willing to put in the work necessary to make this a strong and long-lasting relationship. We are 100% committed to ensuring they are more than satisfied with CCC as their vendor, and for me, that is what it’s all about and why I love working for this amazing company. Now, one of my least favorite parts of the trip was getting back to the states and seeing just how long the customs line was at 2 in the morning only to realize that our luggage had been lost somewhere along our journey (Insert Heather and Dane sad/mad face here)! 😉

I hope to visit this amazing country again in the near future, and I often find myself thinking about the people I met there, it was truly an experience of a lifetime.
