Alabama: Alabama set a new economic record in July, Labor Secretary Fitzgerald Washington announced. July’s  unemployment rate is 3.3%, setting a new record low, beating last month’s previous record low of 3.5%.

California: The latest report from the California Employment Development Department said that California’s unemployment rate tied a record low 4.1% in July.

Florida: Florida’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.3.% for July, down from 3.4% in June.

Illinois: The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) announced the unemployment rate for July decreased by 1/10 of a percentage point to 4.2% in July from the June rate of 4.3%.

Indiana: Indiana’s July unemployment rate dropped to 3.4%, the lowest it has been since April 2018, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development reported.

Iowa: Iowa’s unemployment rate increased slightly in July, to  2.5% in Iowa last month, up from 2.4% in June, according to Iowa Workforce Development.

Kansas: Kansas’ unemployment rate drop slightly to 3.3%, down from 3.4% in June.

Massachusetts: The unemployment rate in Massachusetts dropped below 3% in July, according to the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The Massachusetts unemployment rate dropped 1/10 of a percentage point to 2.9%.

Michigan: Michigan’s unemployment rate has rose in July to 4.3% from 4.2% in June.

Minnesota: Minnesota’s unemployment rate increased to 3.4% for July according the Department of Labor.

Maine: The Maine Department of Labor reported the state’s unemployment rate decreased to a record low of 3.0% for July.

Montana:  Montana officials say the state’s unemployment rate reached a new 10-year low of 3.4% last month. That’s 1/10 of a percentage point lower than June’s unemployment rate, which was also a 10-year record.

Nebraska: Nebraska’s unemployment rose 1/10 of a percentage point from June’s 3% to hit 3.1% in July, the state reported.

Nevada:  Nevada’s unemployment rate rose to 4.1%, 1/10 of percent point higher than in June.

New Jersey: New Jersey’s unemployment rate fell to 3.3% in July, the lowest its been since the state began keeping records in 1976.

Oregon: Oregon’s unemployment rate for July was 4.0%, according to the Oregon Employment Department. This is the lowest rate since 1976.

Pennsylvania: The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) has reported that the July unemployment rate rose slightly  to 3.9% up 1/10 of a percentage point from the record low that was held from April through June.

The Virgin Islands: The national unemployment rate has dropped to 9.5% in July according to Labor Force Officials.

Wisconsin: The state Department of Workforce Development reported that Wisconsin’s unemployment rate for July was 3%. That is up from 2.9% in June after it spent two months matching a record low of 2.8%.
