Plenty of people look to Jan. 1 as the time for a New Year’s resolution. California’s Employment Development Department has a resolution of its own, except this one focuses on improving the state jobless agency.
In the past, the EDD has been known for slow service, late payments, computer problems and many other issues, according to the Los Angeles Times. However, a greater emphasis on the customer experience in 2015 has helped the EDD turn a corner.
The state agency is under new leadership, and its systems have been overhauled to improve stability and usability. This doesn’t mean the EDD is now perfect, but it is a positive sign.
Keep an eye out for upcoming changes in California. Thanks for watching!
